If you’re looking for a dramatic water shot with expanses of blue or roaring falls visit any of these top locations:

Grimes Glen

Prepare to get your feet wet as you make your way walking in the creek bed. This calm current builds and opens up to feature two waterfalls and a small swimming hole.

Turning Point Park

Walk along the boardwalk that runs for over 3,500 feet in length directly over the Genesee River. This tree lined scene is a must see as the leaves change!

Cuba Lake

Look out and witness the expansive blue of the water meet the rolling hills of green that nestle the man-made lake. Home to many types of wildlife this location allows you to put your skills to the test.

Bergen Swamp

A unique environment that presents rare plants and endangered species right at your fingertips. Use this opportunity to test a sport setting and capture the lives of the special species around you.

Carlton Hill State Forest

Get lost under a canopy of trees as you enter an untouched masterpiece of land. The native flowers and wildlife scattered through the forest present great opportunities for close ups.

Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge

This refuge allows visitors to experience nature throughout all of the seasons and share it with the wildlife that call the region home. If you’re looking to take your photography to the next level consider entering the Eighth Annual Amateur Photography Contest, entries are being accepted now through August 31, 2018.

Panama Rocks Scenic Park

Enter a world of towering rock formations, and small caves that will peak your curiosity. Take advantage of the nearby Lake Chautauqua and forrest for a variety of shots.

Chimney Bluffs State Park

Sky high earthen spires create a dramatic shoreline along this section of Lake Ontario. Featuring the best of both worlds, you can hike up high or stay down on the pebble shore. Either way this location is an irresistible spot for sunset shots.

Letchworth State Park

Known as the “Grand Canyon of the East” this glacier cut gorge and series of waterfalls is perfect for a whole day of exploring.

Rt. 16 Vista

Heading South on Rt. 16 gives you just shy of a birds eye view of the cascading hills and the deep valleys that create the beauty of the region. A stellar spot for a wide angle or panorama to capture the endless scene.

WNY Southtowns

This byway forms a 108-mile scenic loop that winds through all the best that Upstate New York has to offer. As you move from town to town you will see historical sites, state parks, dams and creeks, and much more!
